Just thought you fellas would like to see what I did with this old Billiken classic. I have had it for years and felt that, after Scot's "the actual movie belt is yellow not gold" comments, I had better get off my duff and repaint and refinish this guy. I fine sanded the "rubber" parts to a better finish and repainted the face and gun and chestplate and THE BELT, so as to be as movie accurate as this forum could allow. Comments are welcome of course. If I can get this one right, I am repainting my custom one to a more accurate degree. I'm all about the closest accuracy I can get. ;D

That is awesome Les, great job! Do you use Easy eye transfers or are they hand painted? all the eyes on your figures look so friggin realistic.. Spooky That is a Steve Wang sculpt is it not? Will

Will! you should be ashamed! Eye transfers! Me! Heck no! That's painted brother man! Every pupil and shade and glosscoat! And his eyes are the proper shade of green to boot! ;D I put some tips on how I paint eyes in all this somewhere. I know some in the "Painting eyes" forum. But I also go into it on my Obi Wan page. But thanks! That's a great compliment. If it weren't for my own eyes getting OLD and losing some of their former focusing abilities, I'd paint 1/6 eyes more often than I do. Anyway, enough griping about the effects of age... I think the only Steve Wang Batman sculpt is the Horizon Batman Returns figure model. This is the second '89 Billiken and I have no idea who did it. Moto Hata, or somebody like that was on thier payroll back then. I do not know. It would be nice to know. Anyway, except for the slight "Candy" effect of the coating of the belt, I am happy with it. It doesn't look quite so candied up in person. Flash did that I guess. Anyway, thanks Will for the postings and the comments.

Oh, quick note. This posted model is a totally different figure than the one on my avatar pic to the left. That one is my custom one but it does use the head from this same model. My avatar one has my "posable neck" that drives some customizers nuts. Hence the wrinlkes on it and not on this one. This one's pretty solid.

Les - looks great and I love the belt! (Will - Neither the Billiken sculpts were Steve Wang, that was just that nice Horizon returns one.) -S
