Roaring Rockets! That is so great- with the paint he looks so much like Max Von Sydow! I am totally blown away. Man, all those beads! What a trooper! You rock Mongo-style!

By chance last night I was flicking through the channels on TV and the movie was being screened. Although I have it on DVD I stayed there and watched the rest of the movie as it is such good fun. Looking at this after having only so recently seen the guy again it just amazes me even more. This is just incredible. Fantastic work mate.

Nice work, the collar is spectacular! Must have been a tedious challenge to get those results. Except for the color, the beads give an almost bambu look to it.
Great Piece, cant wait to see the whole shebang!.

[glow=red,2,300]Damn! [/glow] Ask and ye shall receive! Beads and all. Ming, the freaking Merciless! You are really going for it with this one Steven. You are topping your past work in spades here. Your best likeness, your best paint, your best costuming detail, even your best subtle character inflections... the eyes...the mouth...the skin tones and smooth head... Keep this up and you will have one hell of a proud portfolio! God, that's nice! I hope you continue the beads into the costume as well...please! You have to now. This is just too good! And dont' forget that ring! Take a hint...don't sell this one, you may regret it. It's a keeper. (Unless it's a commission of course! ) Oh, and PLEASE make a figure of that evil sidekick chick in black that Ming had, you know, The heavy accented "What do you mean Flash Gordon approaching!?!? chick! As well as his wowsa fine daughter! One on each arm! Man! You're smoking bro! Bravo!

I'm not a huge Flash-movie fan, but oh my god what an amazing looking figure! The head sculpt and paint are tremendous. And you should get an award for the patience required to work with all those beads. Wow!

Had to come and bump this awesome figure because I am dying to see it finished! Let's see it Steven! Soon!
PS: I Showed this to my brother when he came down for Christmas. He lives up in Maryland now and loves what I do with figures. I had to show him this one because I remember taking him to the movie in 1980 when he was only 9 years old. We had a great time that day. This figure blew his mind. I told him there were more people than myself out there making crazy stuff like this. He had great things to say about it. Trust me, Ming is one of your very, very best!
