I thought I might use our secure Bat-slab to solicite some opinions from you fellas. Most of you have probably seen some of the playsets/backdrops I customized several years ago. Here's an example: At a "Big Lots," I recently came across another mountainous set piece, very similar to the one above. (Comes with little plastic animals.) At $20, it's not a steal, but it could be a fun opportunity to expand my shelf decor. At this point, I already have three Batcave pieces, though I might go that route again as a "generic" photo backdrop. Or maybe a generic ice wall, for Superman/Mr. Freeze/Penguin homes. I don't really need another "desert" mountain. So, my question to you folks is... Does this spark any ideas? Any rocky terrain I'm not considering? Thanks for the input. C. (Who realizes he doesn't need another playset/backdrop... They're just fun to make.)

Well, the only thing that comes to mind right away is that you could do a JLU style homage to the old Ideal JLA playset "Sanctuary Mountain" toy. I'm sure you've seen it in brown plastic. The really rare one had purple airbrushed over the brown and yellow doors, periscope, weathervane/key that only Superman could lift. That might be fun to update. But the one you have right there is well on its way to that type of thing as it is...

These are more or less the modern version of the old playsets you mention. C.

I'll bet that would make a "cool" fortress of solitude if it were painted an Icy blue/white color Just a thought Nice find in any case

But then, I've done something very similar to that already. Not sure I want to repeat myself. But I've considered doing a second "ice" set for photographic backgrounds. So it's a possibility. Thanks! Batcave. Add on the rest. Perhaps a computer room & a platform for the car, a stair case as well.
