Man I hoped I wasn't going to have any WIP photos for the slab for a while. But Marty asked me to post this pic here too. Frankly I thought I already had posted it awhile ago. This is a very early rough look at the new set of adam and burt dolls that I am working on. these heads were Steven's sculpts and I am expecting some very cool painted shots very soon. Both my own and Les' work as well.

figures are looking great Scot! with the involvement of you, Steven and Les these are sure to come out amazing.
and a question!
I have those medicom bodies as well which seem to be good scale for a Robin/Burt figure, but I'm trying to figure out what to do with the neck stump. Looks like you sawed it off at the base to stick the head on but did you do anything special to make head connection work?

Burt always looked so thin and young and I wanted him to have some real scrawny neck showable. So that's why I went with the Medicom figure. I removed the neck swivel post and then matched and glued it to the resin head. Sort of like what I did with the George Reeves Superman. This way he can look up and around at Adam who is a bit taller. Adam's neck didn't need the exposure or the mobility since the cowl kept him pretty stiff and it covers a visible neck. Now - I'm going to need help with the Robin costume. Who's in?

Those are gonna look real cool when done. Question though, why go with the les articulation on the Adam body? Is there not a bodie his size , so it would be in scale with Burt, with more articulation? ... Seems kinda odd to be able to pose Robin so many different ways, but not Bats... Just curious.

Once they're clothed the articulation becomes less of an issue. the medicom figure is OVER articulated, IMO. No need for it. The Dragon figure is every bit as posable as it needs to be. The head swivels too - just not with the huge range of motion as the Medicom. I guess that would be an issue to me but I went through every doll by every doll company looking for the right body style for the suits to hang correctly on. Adam needed a lanky, thick body. Burt needed a wiry, thin young body.
But i'll be happy to hear about a body i haven't tried yet!

I think the Young Whippersnapper should be a tad more flexable then his older partner in crimefighting Look at it as a bonus those will be Sweet , are you doing that 2-Pack that you spoke about in the past ?

You mean like this one I did for Aris' figures? No, I have special new single boxes planned for these guys. I may be working with Anthony on them.
