Havent really heard of a Slandex face mask before but if thats what your looking to do here are some suggestions. First thing would be to pre stretch your material. Otherwise it will just warp and go back to its original form. Stretch the fabric tighly onto the face of the figure and buch it up at the back of the head. Use a twist tie or rubber band to hold it in place. Make sure there are no wrinkles in the facial areas. Useing either "seam saver" or some kind of clear "Liquid" glue, begin giving it light coats allowing each coat to dry thoroughly until fabric has stiffend into the form of the face. Make sure you apply it as far beyond the face as you can co there is less chance of fraying once you cut the shape you desire. If that dont work you might need to make a base platform to hold the shape, therefore I would suggest that you get some resin and apply it onto the face first which will essentially give you a resin face mask. Keeping the fully cured resin application on the face, use spray adheasive and allow the glue to dry to a tacky form. Next wrap your fabric onto the face and tie around the back of the head. Use your fingers or other tools to press the material into all areas of the face. Make sure glue is tacky and dry to the touch or it will bleed through the material. Once it is fully dried, then unwrap the material from the back and gently squish the head and pull off the mask. Cut edges to desired shape and there ya go. Good luck and let us know how things go. Thanks for both your suggestions they sound like they would both work preatty well for me.I was wondering, which one would you try if you were me?I have Rhuematoid Arthritis in my hands and they hurt after useing them for an hour.If you send me your e-mail address,I can send you a picture of the character with his mask on so that you can get a idea and suggest which method would work best. Thanks again for your help,I really appreciate it.
