Hi there, This is my Batman Year-One-Style custom, based in a ML Daredevil body. I didn´t want to post it yet, but I´m having problems painting it. In his right shoulder, the articulation drags out the paint (see the red thick line...) I tried to use a knife to cut the part that drags and so make smoother the articulation, but it doesn´t work. I thought that someone here must have faced a similar problem before, maybe it´s even in a post, but I haven´t been able to find any. Now I´m thinking in dremeling it a little. Maybe if it´s rougher the paint will stick better. The second option would be to hide the shoulders with the cloth cape I´d be terribly grateful if somebody post any help. If not, by the way, what do you think about this custom?

Aside from the paint problem this figure looks awesome! You did a great job on the paintwork and the bat emblem is exceptional.
I'm not familiar with painting these kinds of figs but I believe your problem may be the type of paint you used. Hopefully someone can chime in with their proven methods.
Great job.

Did you try Primer ,.. then Paint ? I was always Curious about just how the paint stuck to Marvel Legends Customs too....
Looks great so far Bud. Much better than any Batman Toy from the movie thats on the shelf right now imo. Kuddos.

I agree the last two movie lines have been tiny i always prefer decent sized figures to an abundance of accessories but the new ones dont really have that either
figure looks great, nice work on it

Yes, I used a Primer (in spray) and then painted. I thought that, if it worked years ago with all those Warhammer armies (some where lead others plastic) it should work with the Marvel Legends.
It does. The problem is that some articulations are so tight that they drag out even the primer. So, it seem it´s not the quality of the paint, although maybe it´s not the best kind of I could have used. Nevertheless, it seem that is the rubbing what tears paint off. It happens to my other figures, nearly always in elbows, knees and shoulders
So, if we don´t mind losing articulation, it will be fine. If we try to keep them as poseable as they are (that why I use these...) and we often change their pose in our shelves, we´ll have this problem.
As Daredevil was RED, in this one was too blatant. That why I was so worried.
Thanks everybody for the help, thanks for the feedback too.

Great Custom you got there; I always loved the year one Batman ;D Anyway, have you tried a clear coat on top of the grey paint? I don't know how tight the articulation is but maybe it helps Good luck! -Roman
