OK, with paint literally still drying... ;D
Here is my figural fabrication of [glow=red,2,300]THE CAT![/glow]
Or, [glow=red,2,300]Catwoman 1939[/glow]
BRUCE WAYNE, millionare playboy, meets an interesting and mysterious woman on the street outside of Wayne Enterprises...and she asks for a light....
But little does Mr. Wayne know, but he has just lit the cigarrette of THE CAT, the person responsible for stealing the Cascade Diamonds from the Foundations own collection.....
The woman, Selena Kyle, hides in a nearby alley, securely hides her coat and hat, revealing her true self, the greedy jewel thief known on the streets as [glow=red,2,300]THE CAT!!![/glow]
Along with her clever little sidekick, Miss Kitty, she heads for the roof of the Foundation once more....
BUT!
She is surprised by none other than...
[glow=red,2,300]THE BAT-MAN!!!![/glow]
"Well now, where were you headed to miss?" MEOW!
MEOW! Indeed! After a brief tussle....the dastardly thief gets away....or does she!!!
Only to meet up with her cohort and current financier, THE CLOWN PRINCE OF CRIME, [glow=red,2,300]THe Joker! [/glow]
[glow=red,2,300]AH! THWARTED BY THE BAT!!!!! Well Miss Kyle! We'll just have to try once more![/glow]
Well, until next time, whatever happens...
Whatever you do....
DON'T MESS WITH THE CAT!!!! I started on this, loosely, about four months back when I got the Jakks Pacific body I used and the brunette head, which I promptly repainted with a kind of cold and calculating look to her.
I got the leopord skin coat and the boots, some time around then, and painted the boots.
I then got the body suit, but wanted something other than that look, so I tried to suggest that she might one day have a bodysuit. I liked the idea of her in black stockings and the goggles were an afterthought, after any form of mask just didn't work for me.
Most importantly, she has a tail, which doubles as a boa when she wears her coat and stylish hat, so as to hide her identity.
This was a most complicated addition to my ongoing 1939 set, as I had so many directions I could go with her. So, I just used what I had, got a few things to augment, and tried to make her fit a few select criteria:
1- I wanted her to be a bit bohemian, and have a timeless look that had elements of all the ages of Catwoman.
2- I knew she would have certain drag like qualities, due to the attire and subject, so I just stayed the course and said to myself, in 1939, what would a criminal female look like within the comics mode, and tried to stay true to that. Can't help if she is a bit...you know....I just thought, keep her dark, and don't worry about it!
3- I wanted her darker than I had seen. Kind of creepy, like, she would be someone the likes of the Joker wouldn't just kill. A female he might respect.
and
4- I wanted her tall and edgy and sexy for 1939. I also wanted her to be someone who could still be the same woman that was The CAT in the actual comics, but not with the 40's attire so much, but with a certain street look and a slightly sad quality...but that be barely there. Barely. May or may not have pulled that off.
5- And NO CLAWS! I figured she just hadn't come up with them yet. And, be different! So, I painted her fingernails black and figured, they're long and sharp. That would do.
But anyway...
Hope you like her!
And if you don't??? Well, watch out for Miss Kitty! She's mean! ;D
