Hey Guys, I know it's off topic but I want to give my best and contribute as much as I can to this board. We CAN keep it alive! Here is my 2-day project: It was inspired by Boorman's movie "Excalibur". The sword is actualy a simple letter opener. The base is from a doll stand. The rest is aliminium foil with some sculpey on top and some grass... I repainted the flowers from orange to blue because of the symbolic nature of the blue flower. Let me know what you think

Thanks, phantom! ;D
Scale? erm, I'm not sure but I guess around 1/5 (It's approx. 11" tall).

Great job on creating the moss on the rock, you are the best scale model fabricator I've ever known. You have a real tallent for making miniature props look so real.
Congrats on this one Roman, it would look great either in a glass showcase or a desk. Tell me, is the sword removable to maintian it's original function as a letter opener?

Thank you so much! Good comments are somewhat addictive But there are a lot of other, BETTER modelmakers out there... And yes, the sword is removable. I made a sheath of sculpey and baked it then I used aluminium foil for the basic shape of the stone. Then some sculpey on top and that's it

First let me say, [glow=red,2,300]BEAUTIFUL job![/glow] Just awesome! Next let me say, where in hell did you get that sword? What scale is it? And are there any more? ;D
But, yeah, your base and all is just gorgeous! Love it all the way! You need to cobble a sleeping Merlin laying there, bored, next to it. Waiting for Arthur....
GREAT job. K point for excellence of execution!

thats pretty darn cool actually. I loved the movie. King Aurtor is one of the oldest superheros of all. Dude I think its a fantatic peice. Very nice work the rock with grass looks real good and the flower is a very nice touch.

Thanks Cap and Lestro ;D
And Les: Excalibur is 10 inch long so I guess it might be 1:4,5 scale. It used to be a letter opener. I got it through a German website that sold anything from softair weapons to japanese swords. They also had a lot of other swords as letter openers. I'm sure you can find a US based shop that sells these, too. You could also order a stone for display but it looks ugly...

Supercool Bat. Both the legend and the movie are huge personal faves of mine for as long as I can remember so I especially dig this. Great job!
