I have this one too and it is a beauty! Corgi have really got their finger on what guys like us want with the 007 stuff and Batman and such like. They just released a great set from the new CAPTAIN SCARLET series along with classic 1960s too. They expand this Batman line with something better almost every wave. Glad you grabbed this one while you could. Whether they gain value in the future, as some collectors hope, or not it don't really matter when they look as great as this one.

Well I have no intention of selling these I never intended to buy any or at least not all of the larger scale... just kinda turned out that way lol... and of course when you have all but one, and that one is sitting on the store shelf constantly calling out "take me home with you", how can you refuse? ;D The only problem is now no doubt the rest will be begging and pleading to me now too! Its like feeding a stray cat!

Any news on any more of these (1/48 or others) and when they come out? I thought another set was due anytime. Been watching for them. No show yet.

The 1/48 "Teen Titans 2000" Batmobile hit comic shops a couple of weeks ago, but other than that the latest assortments have been unusually slow to hit retail lately. no idea why.

But I saw an ad sometime back showing several other, new Batmobiles that were supposed to be out by now. Or, so I thought. One was pretty darn cool looking too. Some original one I guess. Or from a comic. I just want more. Call me greedy, but there can't be enough Batmobiles in my collection...especially when there are plenty more to do

Well, generally speaking, the next batch is late. No idea why. Normally we'd have had more by now.

I've got some bad new, boys. I received an e-mail from the brand manager at Corgi when I asked "Is the line dead?" Unfortunately yes. Our license is up in june 2007. Our mass sales have slowed greatly, thus we did not have enough orders to cover the big costs of making the new cars. The two last cars were cancelled. its disappointing. The others should be out though the Mothmobile etc. We will be doing some fun specials featuring the cars and figures. Called Chassis Art Classics where we take the chassis figures molded on bottom and make a 4.00 figure with So, it looks like the last few batmobiles and the Killer Mothmobile will be coming out soon if that's any consolation.

Well, while this news is surely unfortunate and depressing, it's not at all surprising. I've simply been waiting for it to come out However; I am thrilled and surprised the remaining wave(s) will be coming! ;D Hopefully their release wont be limited or hindered in any way as a result of this situation? I hope they will still see general retail distribution!?

Here's the last Corgi Batmobiles of the line: 1950's Killer Moth mobile - yes. This one should be shipping by now.
1960's Batmobile #3 - yes. it should be shipping by now.
1960's Batmobile with Batman figure (flying cape) - this one was cancelled.
1990's Batrocket - yes. this should have shipped by now.
2000 Batmobile 4 - yes this has shipped by now.
At least the Killer Moth mobile is still coming out!!! Hooray! A damn shame though, this was hands-down the BEST Batman line ever created. I'm sad to see it go.

A little more info for you about the "Classic Chassis Art Classics"
They are repaints of the already issued corgi batmobiles but they come with a cool little 4.00 figure of the character pictured on the bottom of the car.
The four I know of are:
1939 coupe with Bob Kane Batman 1940's Batmobile (blue) with Batman 1950's Killer Moth Mobile with Killer Moth 1960's Catmobile with Catwoman
I'm sure there will be more to come from this line. Price point-wise they will be higher than the regular cars - around $25-27

Yeah, really! I am backing up and getting all the ones I missed. Almost done. Great set! Glad I got them. BTW, LOVE that 1930's coupe! The red one! What a car! I wish they'd have made that one I saw a "coming soon" image of with two wheels in the back on each side...it looked mean!

Being an English company for once we have these toys perhaps a little before some of you other guys. I grabbed the two 1960s Batmobiles and both are exceptional. The Killer Moth car looks ace as well. What a great job Corgi are doing. The new Gerry Anderson CAPTAIN SCARLET series is brilliant as well. If only more companies were in tune with fans and collectors like Corgi are. Shame that there may be no more.
