I love both these vehicles from the Adam West TV show, the bike too! Any of you fellas seen or know about maybe Mego or GI Joe sized vehicles that have been built from scratch or adapted from standard toys or models to look like the TV versions. There are some beautiful Batmobiles and I have seen a nice Mego Bat Cycle customised to look like the TV version too. Just interested in hearing what you guys know.

No i haven't sorry Martin.I do remember a GI Joe Copter that would transform beautifully into the TV Copter but i haven't seen one around for a long time. Not that i have really been looking much to be honest. The Boat could certainly be a challenge but would be fantastic to see.

Last year I saw a RC custom tv Btacopter complete with engine and all. Came with a custom 8" West Batman too, I believe starting price was around $1500.
Longo also did a Mego batcycle check his website for details, sorry I don't have a link.

Yeah! Good call on the GI Joe/Action Man helicopter. I know the one used in the movie was a Bell and maybe with some work it could look pretty close. Cheers mate! The boat was made by Glastron so possibly there may be models of their standard boats which can be adapted as I am sure the original was a stock issue with Bat-adornment!

Will The RC Copter you are talking about (I think) is a 1:6 scale by a company called Vario out of Canada. They are very pricey (as they actually FLY!) I've emailed them a couple times trying to get assistance to buy just the non-motorized parts but they have been no help. I've seen a couple people customize them into batcopters and they look great but as you say - PRICEY. I'd love to get one because the display-ability would be fantastic. The Hasbro JOE copter actually doesn't look much like the '66 copter except it has a big ball thingypit. I have a copter that was put out by Cotswold collectibles years ago that is based on the correct Bell 47D helicopter style and made for the 12" figures. But I have not finished it yet. It's in parts! I've made batcopters in 1:64, 1:32, 1:43, 1:18 as the Bell was a popular copter there are lots of toys and models out there to go on. I am working on that section in my site next, when I get it all done I'll share here as well.

The guy that made the "Joemobile" Jim DeSimione (or Joe, I forget) was talking about doing a Joebatboat as well. I read a post by him sometime last year asking who would be interested. I have not heard anything else about it and don't know how to get in touch with him. I've seen a couple Vatcycles out there done on the Mego cycle. If you can do the white details with 3M vinyl or contact paper - you could get a nice one going on the black version. Don't try to paint one though! I painted one purple without a sidecar for Batgirl and that was a bad plan! -s
