The old Aurora monsters! Classics. The Monogram re-issues were great and a chance to own many that I was never likely to before due to the cost, much like the Polar Lights versions too. I have a small collection of original Aurora but these guys are just as cool for build ups in my book. Thanks for sharing.

My brother and I had built all of these as Aurora's. For some lunatic reason we donated them all to my cousin who I would be willing to bet still has them. Regrets, I've had a few... (with apologies to Frank Sinatra)

These mark the starting point of many a 60's kid's era figure collector's world. Mine especially. I will always have a special place in my heart for these. Seeing them evokes a special kind of memory doesn't it?
I have none of them now. Sad. They are the pioneers.

There was a Drug store which was enroute to my daily walk to school and for more days then I could remember, I would go in there on the way home and look at the Aurora kits, I even remember they cost around $2.35 each except King Kong and Godzilla were double the price due to them being twice as big as the others. The Wolf-Man had always been my favorite box to hold and marvel over the artwork, and I was always impressed with the Phantom's base which included a caged prisoner grabbing onto the bars. Ahhhh memories,
