Guys, sorry for the radiosilence from me. i just got 2 projects out the door and owe 2 more in the next few days. Plus I've been out of town w/o board access for a while due to a family health issue. I'm just touching base tonight and back out again tomorrow. Thought I'd give you guys first look at some stuff that has not made it to my site yet. The first 2 are pieces I did in the past that have been sold. 1. The Embrace - This is a super rare kit from England that features a scene from an 80's comic of Batman and Catwoman kissing. Batman was rendered like the "Judgement On Gotham" Judge Dredd teamup. It was a really hard kit to do and make look presentable. It is also HUGE. 2. Giordano Bust. I don't know who sculpted this - it was a medium size bust that was in the Giordano or Aparo style. I put eyeballs in since I was in an Alex Ross mood. I don't like the sculpting (or my paintjob) on the facial parts but I dug how the blues and blacks came out on the cowl. 3. Mini Ross-ish bust by Mike Hill. Everyone has one of these by now. I bought them a few years back from my good friend in England who knows Mike well. Back then they were rare! It's a nice small bust that has Bats looking more like Clint Eastwood than Ross' version. But the emotion conveyed make it a great piece. I silvered up and wash-dirtied up a DCD 1st appearance figure base to resemble a Gotham manhole cover for a base. This one is actually mine not a for sale item.

Oooooo... More fun stuff from Scooter! As usual, these look top notch, despite some of the difficulties you mentioned. I really like the duo with Catwoman. Just how big is that thing anyway?

Really nice pieces all around.
I have a really rare Mike Hill that is not one of the favorite Batman versions, it's the Batman Forever Panther suit spread cape statue on a gargoyle head. His sculpting style is very identifiable, and I can tell that bust is his. I don't have it, but have seen it. Looks great.
I really like the Embrace piece. That's a great Catwoman. And the other bust is nice too. I agree that the blue/black blend is super! Airbrush I assume? Or is that by hand?

No airbrush on any of those, Les. I really only use airbrush on fleshtone faces, rarely on figures and never on clothes. That Ward cape was really the only thing that remained airbrushed on that robin model too.
Cas, That 'embrace' model was like 14" high! At that scale they could ahve done a way better job on it. But that was before I got into re-sculpting or really messing around with models.

I don't think I've ever seen that figure on a gargoyle head. Always just the figure by itself. Can you send a picture? -S

Seeing Batman & Catwoman actually getting past the heavy flirting stage and actually kissing is kinda spooky. Great looking duo kit. The Mike Hill looks like it may have been the inspiration for Dead End. I like the blues in the Giordano Bust, it is just like the comics whereas all the black had blue highlights and overtones. Great looking pieces Scot, we all love seeing your pieces here. Will
