Hi Chris, the answers will vary, It would help if you mentioned what it is you are planning to paint before anyone can recomend a primer. Will

Chris,i have used Tamiya and Testors Grey or White spray primers for years and years. Both are readily available at Hobby Stores and have never let me down. To give you an idea i've used them for everything from Car Models,Vinyl and Resin Kits,6" Custom figs and right down to 25mm Wargaming Miniatures.Hope that helps!

I'm in the UK myself so I know how frustrating it is when you hear of all the great products only available in the US. However I have found any craft, car or hobby store will have a wide selection of primers. Humbrol is always a good one as are most acrylic car primers. Like Will says it does depend on what you are working with but generally the back of the tin will give you a brief on the best uses for it. Good luck mate.

Oh yeh, I suppose I should have mentioned what it was for! To be honest its just for general purpose priming, I think most of my customs will be in the Justice League Unlimited style, but I'm expecting a few lots of Kenner Batman figures which im hoping to find some good bases for customs with.
I went to the local garage/auto shop today and bought some grey primer, for use with acrylic paints so I think this should work.
My Unlimited style Catwoman just got primed in it, fingers crossed... Chris
