Hey guys. If any of you have seen my website, you see the John Wayne figure there, just behind the scroll menu. I need a replacement hat for him! I REAL cowboy hat. A Stetson looking one for a 12" figure.
If ANYBODY has a lead, please let me know. He is giving up his hat for a very good cause, and needs a good Stetson anyway. Lord knows I have hunted for a good one. Good 1/6 cowboy hats are almost impossible to find online. I can repaint it if need be. Especially if it's vinyl. If it's felt, I need a white one. You'd think? yeah.
Any help or leads would be appreciated. Thanks, Les ;D

Spare Marx/Gabriel Butch Cavendish hat sitting here too if you need it. A bit smaller than a GI Joe type of size but again you are welcome to it. Just holler mate.

Don't know Marty. It has to fit a BBI figure head for a 12" figure size, and that's for sure GI Joe or slightly larger. About the same I guess. Whatever the case, here is kinda what I am looking for: I may want it that color because it would match the vest just like in this picture, but a white one will work. Of course I can paint it. Just leting you know what it needs to sorta look like. DOn't want a flat top hat like I had before anyway. Basic Stetson. Very hard to find in 1/6.

I missed every auction Scot posted! If there are any other hats out there, do let me know. I was so into my work that I forgot to bid. Dagnabbit!
Anyway, I trudge on... Thanks for letting me know about these.

I found those searching under johnny west acceaaories. I am not sure they are big enough. can't remember if JW was really 11" or 12" doll size.
The guy to talk to is Wes McCue (classik plastik) who has a whole range of soft rubber western hats for his Bonanza customs.

Yeah that fella Wes that Scooter mentioned does some great stuff. I often check his site although Captain Action is his kinda speciality and not Mego although CA is cool too and his work is beautiful. Here is his Ben figure although you would probably be better with a Hoss style hat but that had the round top. Anyway here is a great shot of a fine piece of work. hometown.aol.com/classicplastick/This is is his site. Really worth checking out fellas! He is the guy rsponsible for what I still beleive is one of the top Adam West figures I have ever seen.
