Here are some WIP pictures of my Alex Ross Superman; I’m on a quest to find some suitable cape material this week. I’ll tell more about the suit later.

Nice looking stuff Steven!
- Did your mom help on the suit? - The belt looks like craft foam? Yes/no? - What's the emblem made from? I think the shape is a bit off for a Ross S, but what great clean lines on the 2 materials!

- Did your mom help on the suit?
Yes she did, I dumped it all on her with a Dragon body and said make a super suit for this guy. She designed the pattern and this is it. It’s a little unfinished in a few places
- The belt looks like craft foam? Yes/no?
No, it’s the same polyester silk as the “S” background; I wrapped the fabric around a piece of Bristol board art paper.
- What's the emblem made from? I think the shape is a bit off for a Ross S, but what great clean lines on the 2 materials!
Yea it’s off, I had forgotten my pattern at home a drew that one out, it was just an experiment to see if the idea I had for doing the fabric “S” would work. I really don’t like the iron on transfer look.
So here's how I did It: I soaked a piece of red fabric in Fray Check when it was dry I stuck it to some fusible webbing then cut the yellow parts out with a sharp ex-acto knife and iron bound it to the yellow fabric. It worked out the first try. So now I’m going to redo it with the proper Ross “S”.

Great job so far. What's the body you are using? Very nice use of materials for this one. Your S solution is terrific. Can't wait to see the cape and the finished guy.

Yeah for Steven's mom! Great color choices by the way- very important when doing Superman that the right tones are found for the right version! Keep up the good work!

Looks like I created a monster, not only is my mother been obsessing over the Superman outfit she call me today to say she has a Batman, and Auqaman suit almost ready.

Looking real sweet there Steven. I really love the paint work on the head. He looks like a real person. I've now had the pleasure of seeing one of Steven's sculpts first hand (thanks Scot) and I must say the attention to details and overall likeness's which you do are truly among the best there is. Say! why hasnt your Mom joined our group yet? Be sure to let her know how much we all love her work. Will

I’ve told her you guy love what she’s doing, but she’s not the message board type. She did drop by this morning to show me the Batman progress, we’ve been having a lot of trouble getting the cape to have an in scale drape to it. Its looks like we solved it, it looks great now.
But anyway the point I’m getting to is she said she’s changed her mind about doing 1:6 scale costumes for other people. So she might start taking order soon if anyone is interested.
The balls in my court now I have to get the body ready for all these costumes.
