well news of the cycle reminded me of something if you look carefully at the tumbler in the first film there is an extra wheel in the centre on the back
why would it need five sets of wheels?
which is probably the theory that Nolan is going with
and Andrew Michael Hall of Dead Zone and Weird Science fame has been casted but has signed a confidentiality clause not to reveal his part as it is central to the story and in a few weeks he will be filming seens with Morgan Freeman
which reminds me the returining cast are:
Christian Bale: Bruce Wayne/Batman
Morgan Freeman: Lucius Fox
Michael Caine: Alfred The Butler
Gary Oldman: Lieutenant Gordon(or commissioner)
the guy that played the commissioner in the begins is returning
and maggie Gyllenhall has been casted and Rachael Dawes replacing Katie Holmes in the role of Bat's girl

I am really on the fence regarding the Joker's new look. I trust the director, as I did enjoy the hell out of BB, but this Joker is so removed from my experience and expectations. I WANT to like him.... Just not sure what to think yet. That mirror image, or whatever it is, that's going around now, is better than the closeup that may indeed be a makeup test. He just looks so bland in that shot. No way that was meant to be a true publicity shot. Too bland. The Joker is....well...wild! He seems to have a bit more character in that newer blurred image. Not sure about the mouth going ALL THE WAY from ear to ear though. Something's off about it all to me, but I'll still be there opening day!

if I may explain the ear to ear lip make-up i believe Nolan is going for a more dark twisted Joker to fit the theme of his batman so he is not so much a clown as a sadistic psychopath and hence in his delusions he has cut a great big grin on his face the and the lipstick is to highlight this fact possibly EDIT: nevermind i read somewhere that it was a make-up test which means he'll have more refined make-up effects when the movie is finished here are some new pics of Ledger Pre-Joker form upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/b6/Ledger_Joker_clown_mask.jpg

not sure bout how his face looks painted on and the scarring is less detailed then in the test photo that was revealed a couple months back hopefully this was just a photo taken to promote and not joker's final look like the purple jacket and gloves though

UPDATE: Courtesy of Batman-On-Film which has links from another site the second is my favourite it shows that ledger has the wiry frame that i am used to associating with the joker also these photos are untreated meaning no light filters are added hence why they seem so bright they will look better when filters are added
