That's truly beautifully done!!! You must be ready to burst. It looks amazing and will make a fantastic display piece. You gotta snap a shot wearing it when it arrives. I know the first thing I'd do is put it on and run around the house like a complete mental.
Top stuff Mart. Thanks for sharin' with us.

That will make one heck of a display piece. Not to mention conversation started.
I expect to see pics of you in it, as well as displayed.

So that's Chuck's finished rendition eh? You know, I had been watching Chuck's progress in the designing of his base shell from day one and of all the "cowl producers" out there, Chuck really took the time to get it right. Also from what I remember, he joined forces with the best material guy who actually traveled far & wide to find this particularily exact TV like material, and whom also does a flawless job on the seam work and material application. Marty this looks just [glow=red,2,300]FAB!![/glow] The absolute best looking West Cowl I have ever layed eyes on and I love that you have it. I may take that plunge too someday and if so, i will definitly go the "Chuck route" But for now, I will enjoy yours vicariously though your pictures, words and overall giddy-ness over having such a prized piece. [glow=red,2,300]Congratz!!![/glow] Will

The cowl arrived today! I had to pay a very hefty import duty fee on it which wasn't a crowd pleaser for Maxine but once I opened the box and slipped the cowl on we both agreed it was worth every penny! An indulgence for sure and something which I plan on displaying and not really wearing but I couldn't resist it for a few pics. Funny thing is that the colour is almost exactly like the famous 'Transvestite Fabric' I found a while back. Chuck managed to nail as close to the colour Adam wore in the show that's out there today so I guess my transvestite 'pal' deserves a pat on the back for selling such cool ladies nightwear!!!!

That has got to be one of the coolest Bat-collectibles I've ever seen! It's one thing to see it on a foam head , but to actually be able to wear it for pics is just the greatest. I bet you really feel like Batman today. It's an amazing piece. I'm real happy for you. Thanks for sharing a shot with us.

Excellent pic marty-man! You do know that 90% of those who get West cowls for their collections, wind up splurging for more pieces until they have a complete costume. ;D Some display their costumes on manequins while others make money doing appearances as Batman. Be sure to show a shot of how & where you'll have it displayed ok? Will

That's fantastic and it fits you perfectily- too perfectly??? Now you can really get inside Adam West's head- well cowl anyway. I'm digging the Super Friends shirt too- is that a robot in the background? Must see cool robot....

Thanks fellas! It is pretty cool to finally have one of these. I would love a full outfit for display but that is really big bucks. I've seen a few full outfits that my guy has done and they are no question the best I have ever seen. (I am trying to convince Max that a belt is not too expensive and will '"Look so cool with the cowl" but she ain't biting!!) Yep! Kev that is indeed a robot behind me. The real deal screen used one from the Gerry Anderson show SPACE PRECINCT. Slomo is the name and I have to say we hate it!! Being involved with the Anderson Appreciation Society I was asked to take custody of some costumes, props and masks from the show when filming finished as they were just gonna be destroyed. A bunch of us hired a big van and travelled about three hundred miles to Wales in the pouring rain and brought back a ton of stuff. It is now held in a number of members collections but it is not 'ours' but the clubs for display at cons or wherever. Trouble is I ain't a SPACE PRECINCT fan at all and this 'little' fella is a pretty ugly looking thing and very cumbersome. Max allows it to be stored in our out house area while the costumes and masks are in the attic. If I was asked to find a home for Robby, Gort, C-3PO or a B-9 I would be more than happy to exchange!!!!!!!!!! While I am in complete 'Making an ass of myself' mode I thought you guys may get a laugh from these two crime-fighters!! This is me and my mate David as The Green Hornet and Kato! Yeah! Enough to strike fear into the hearts of old ladies and children everywhere! David is a good guy and game for a laugh as they say. He is giving me a hand with my Catwoman project, for which I am grateful, as he is a pro costume maker. He worked on HARRY POTTER, DIE ANOTHER DAY, ERAGON, BATMAN BEGINS and a ton of others so his sewing skills are very welcome. My input will be limited on this occassion guys I am the first to admit. Anyhow I thought you may get a grin from this.

Now that I am back as an employed person we had the cash to go out and get a proper cabinet to put some of my junk in. The cowl takes pride of place though. Thanks heavens for IKEA!

Great pics Mart. You and David look ready for action!!! The display setup looks fantastic. IKEA always has the coolest stuff. That cowl will stay dust free forever displayed in there.
