...The Rocketeer!!! This is the new 2nd version of this figure by Medicom, and let me say, it's a BEAUTY!! The body used with this version is much better articulated, allowing for some fantastic poses; the detailing on the costume is outstanding! Yes, every one of those metal buttons on the jacket is an ACTUAL button, not a snap. The rocket pack is equally well done, down to the latches on the front of the harness underneath the jacket flap in front, and the piece of gum used to plug the fuel leak that occured in the film. The helmet is not removable, but that's not an issue for me, I'd always keep it on him anyway. The figure comes with a stand (not the one in the pics), two sets of hands, and a Mauser pistol, which is okay in terms of detail, but I had a Yellow Submarine brand Mauser with finer detail and swapped it out. It's the one in the photos. Anyway, enough text, here are the pics: And THIS is the pic I've been wanting to take for a LONG time: three heroes from the 1930's.... Now all I need is to get crackin' on that Doc Savage figure I've been wanting to make. Them maybe Lee Falk's Phantom.... and then the Shadow.... ;D

Wow, those look GREAT together! Nice figure too. The buttons look way too big but I guess it's worth it to have them be functioning. Thanks for sharing Roy.

Really bringing that 30's heroic era to life here! That's a nice figure indeed and the grouping is a blast to see! Also provides evidence of your skill Roy as the figures you made stand shoulder to shoulder, if not actually being a bit nicer than the "professionally" made mass-produced one! I can't help but wince at the doll stand there though- ow!

Thanks, guys! I gotta admit, every time I pass by the case I have these three guys in, I get a big GRIN on my face just seeing them together! ;D And I almost didn't get this guy... Now I can't see NOT having him the collection. Glad I could share the pics with you guys. Now all I gotta make is a custom Bettie Page to pose with him...

Gorgeous!! What a figure. Maybe I am not that discerning but for me it is faultless. Looks like the stop motion figurine they used in the movie. What a cracker. Thanks for sharing mate.
