If there is a larger collection out there, I sure aint heard of it, Check this out fellas. www.batmantoys.com/Will That's Ed Kelly, a friend of mine from England. Yes, he has a very large collection. But keep in mind - lots of the stuff he shows on that site were not in his collection, or have been sold on from it. (not to say that it isn't still huge...) As far as "largest" well, it is absolutely the largest in England for sure. Joe Desris used to have a very public large collection here in the states until he sold it all off about 6 years ago. Carlos Hernandez had the largest colelction I had ever personally visited and I brokered all his stuff for him when he decided to sell it all around 1995. However, weirdly enough - the actual largest collections of Batman stuf are owned by a few guys who keep their stuff locked down and private. I've known them for years. they've bought stuff from me for years and I keep quiet tabs on them. There's a doctor on Virginia. A super collector in New England and another in Chicago, and one more collector in Queens, NY that have as much if not more than Ed in England. They just don't ever share pics or info on it with anyone. There is something to the fact that once someone knows it's Ed Kelly trying to bid or buy their item -the price may mysteriously go up, up, up... So these other collecotrs feel that discretion is the better part of keeping their collection going. -s

I think I've seen Ed's stuff featured on other sites, as well.
Scooter has a point, though. Anonymity has its privileges...

That is a mighty impressive collection to say the least, that's what i call dedication! We used to have a guy at LOG named Lee who went under the name"The Batfan"who had the largest collection i have ever seen.It was so large in fact that he owned an entirely separate house to keep it all in and he was still strapped for space. Now that was some scary stuff.

Hey that brings up a great new thread - how about pictures of everyone's collections? I am just about to start getting my stuff photographed for the "collecting" section on my site. It would be cool to see everyone here's collections. It never fails - no matter how much I think I know about this stuff - I love seeing other people's collections and invariably there are a few items I can't place and I HAVE to know about! What do you guys think? -S

That sounds like an excellent idea Scot. I have lots of pics of my displays but since them pics were taken, more stuff has been jammed in there, I'll do some new pics soon. Will

That's a great idea Scot, you'll all have to wait a little while for mine though. We bought a"Renovator's Delight"for a house just before XMAS and my room isn't even being close to being ready to put my stuff on display. Then i have to build the cabinets and i'm going with a lot of Diroama-style displays to be different this time around. So a while to go yet. I really would love to see everyone elses though.
