Amazing find FB I mean look at the details of this beauty! And they got the proportions right! Not like DCD with their huge chest and their oversized belt... And this must be the first time ever I find a figure of the Pre-Batman suit Bale wore (with the climbing harness etc.). I always loved that vigilante costume. But the headsculpt could be better; Doesn't resemble Bale that much. But still much better than anything DCD threw at us

Very nice looking figure. That Bale alternative outfit is a great idea too. Thanks for the link and the heads up!

There's more pics somewhere i have to find yet.He comes with a whole swag of very detailed Bat-accesories too and obviously they've very cleverly designed this figure so the Armour doesn't inhibit movement at all. I am very impressed, although out of my price range currently he's a hard one to resist.

[glow=red,2,300]GREAT![/glow] I just today committed to a Hot Toys figure for over $110 on Ebay. I've been saving for it for months. Oh well.... This one is nicer though. Beautiful even. Love the hands and the neck movement.
How many damn released figures are they gonna make of this guy?!?!?! I bet this one's not around $100 US...bet he's a lot more. Better be or I am one frustrated dude!
Thanks for the info FB.
Oh, FO for this big time! ;D

Nope. Correction. Went around online and it looks great, but...clever posing may be possible with the one I'm getting as well. SO, no biggie. Hate missing the extras...the Bale head...etc. Oh well....
Strike the FO FB. You done good son! ;D

How many damn released figures are they gonna make of this guy?!?!?! 4 by my count: DCD Takara Hot Toys Medicom And other than the goddawful DCD* one - I think the others all have one or 2 things about them that are nicer than the others. Whether accessories, posability, material... Gotta get all three and makeone 'best'! Gotta! *(though what do I know? Maybe the DCD one is the 'Daredevil Movie' of them and I'm the only one who thinks it' shit)-S

Maybe the DCD one is the 'Daredevil Movie' of them and I'm the only one who thinks it' shit) [/i] [/quote] Nope you're far from alone Scot, the very popular concensus from many people on the DCD one is it's a very ordinary piece and the bottom of the heap. Oh and Les,this figure is listed at US$130 if that helps you feel a bit better.

All interesting but a bit too late now anyway as I am committed to the Hot Toys one...but...I am thinking (A dangerous pastime for me to be sure... ;D ) I think one of Scot's polls would be great here, if included with was a nice set of piccies of each of the variant Batman Begins figures. Just a thought. But, based on what I have seen...(in order of when I saw them released....plus adding one more to the list) Here's my ranking of them so far... Kenner 14" winged Batman toy- Liked it sorta at first for a solid plastic posable toy. Hated the big clunky menchanical "wings". Fun at first...before the onslaught of figures began... DCD 13"- Horrid body and too big. Not a terrible costume or parts (but made to fit horrid body). Head is not bad, but out of scale with body and lacks crispness or accuracy of detail overall. A MAJOR letdown for the money. Medicom 12" (or more likely 11" since they always run small) From what I could see, a vast improvement on the DCD at the time. Too expensive. Limited and a bit less crisp than I wanted. Disliked the head as too loose. Hot Toys 12"Now we're talking! The best sharp detail to me of the lot. And (since I am getting one anyway) a terrific cape! Looks very posable and immediately made me think of the movie guy. Any facial detail lacking can be fixed with paint. Best cowl of the lot to me. Look at the ears and cut corners. Nice molding. As Batman- Overall- (loss of star for less variability) Takara 12"Bonus for being able to make him into the early version with the harness and mask on the Bale head. That is a major plus. In fact, THAT is it's strength to me as I am not as enamored with it as Batman. Note the less sharp cowl than the Hot Toys version. Nice facial area though. Good sculpt on just the mouth area. Looks like a nice cape too. Can't tell if I like it as much as the Hot Toys cape. Get this one to be an onshelf early version Batman with the Hot Toys version as Bats. As Bale- Overall- (loss of star for less crispness as Batman) So, by my own reckoning, the Takara ties Hot Toys. I just think the Hot Toys version is a better Batman figure. That's my two cents worth so far. [glow=red,2,300]Now, WHO ELSE IS RELEASING A BALE BATMAN?[/glow] Steven?!?!?!? Where's your Bale Bruce Wayne?! ;D

Yeah I didn't count the HASBRO one. (Dude, "Kenner" is like sooo 1990) I think I disagree with your assessment of the 2 Batman faces between Hot Toys and Takara - I think the Takara is the best looking one of the bunch. However if you gave both a Les paintjob (which they would both benefit from) maybe the HT one would win me over. I think the HT one pulls ahead in the poseability and cape areas. But I also like the Takara early harness and Bale head options, but as has been noted - it doesn't look much like Bale anyway. Would love to have all three of the Asian ones to compare in person! But then - I don't collect movie Batman stuff anymore so...maybe not.

Just for reference and to mark progress - here's the FIRST Takara Batman they made, back in 1990 -

here's a better pic of the unmasked one: The one thing I'm not crazy about on this one is the jointed neck as part of the cowl. The Bruce Wayne version is cool as an addition but, as previously stated, looks very little like Bale. Todd
