Anyone have any tips on how to do this? I'm working on an 8 inch sculpt of a character who has a moderate style afro. It's not big like the Jackson 5 kind , but it's still a fro...Just smaller and tighter , kinda like the black Action Jackson sculpt. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hey Andy, I have had some success by dojng the following: # 1- Use your sculpy or clay of your choice and get the general basic shape of the hairstyle.
# 2- get a piece of regular tin-foil and crumple it into a loose ball.
# 3- useing the tin-foil ball, press it into the hair and this gives a tight afro texture.
Experomant with this concept and see if you get the desired results.

So Whats the Verdict on this Ape-man? are we Black? Will The 'Fro' is a go!! It worked better than I had hoped for , so thank you very much for your input. I'm still tooling around with the sculpt. I think it be may be useable. Human features(even animated human features) are tough to get just right. Hopefully I'll have something to post soon. I may start again from scratch just to see if I can improve. I'm soooooooo slow at this stuff. I take forever and a day deciding if I like what I'm doing , but the fro is definitely working. Thanks again for your tin foil tip.
