As most of you probably know by now, DC Direct is offering an unprecedented recall/exchange policy of the first wave of "Crisis" figures, due to the incredibly lousy quality control across the board. (Granted, this comes almost six months too late, but that's another issue.) Retailers can return any leftover stock they have, and can encourage customers to bring in their loose or carded figures, even if the figures were bought elsewhere. DCD is making a new production run due in summer, and all returns will be exchanged with figures from the new run.
Why do I mention this, you ask? Because DCD is asking retailers to cut off the figures' heads, and only return the little noggins. That leaves the potential for lots of bodies that may be trashed. So... If you have a good relationship with a retailer, you might ask what he intends to do with the bodies! My shop hasn't decdied if they'll return the few they have left yet, but if they do I'm told I can have the leftovers for customs!
I have no idea if this applies outside the U.S. or not. But for those of you who are, it might be worth asking as well.
C.
P.S. I just realized the title of this thread is kinda funny!

Things like 2 left arms or really bad paint apps Anthony, stuff like that. Sounds like a great opportunity Cas but they never really got here before the QC issue was nipped in the bud so i'll miss out unfortunately.

Hmmmm... Curious. Sounds like they lost some big bucks here. I wonder if this will follow over to the DCD 13" line...

Well, in related issues, the first wave of Long Halloween and Identity Crisis figures have been delayed until an undetermined date for similar issues of quality. Sounds like DCD finally relaized one or more of the factories they sub-contracted was churning out garbage, and now they're having to reorganize.
