Just wanted to offer this little bit of help to anyone out there who may be considering doing an 8" Mr. Freeze or someone requiring a domed space helmet. I discovered that at Toys R Us there is a candy called "Krystal Rings" that has a clear domed top. This dome, when removed is the perfect size and shape for use as a Mr. Freeze dome. See picture below modeled by Superman. They are currently on clearance at TRU- I paid $.34 for it!

Looks good to me mate. The comic book style would work great for this one you found. The new CTVT SPACE:1999 figures with the authentic space helmets would look great for a George Sanders style TV Mr Freeze with a little adaptation and a paint job too. This is the actual helmet as it is today. A pal of mine has a real SPACE:1999 helmet and the two are pretty close even the neck piece so the toy version should work great. Kevin, I know Mr Freeze is a favourite of yours are you going for a Bald head 'Kojak' recast painted blue or what. Sounds like a good project for you mate.

Great pictures Mart! I love space helmets!! That CTVT helmet is a great piece- I can think of a half dozen space men I could (and may very well) use it for! Thanks for THAT heads up! I am a big Mr. Freeze fan for sure. My ambition is to do Mr. Zero- the first appearance of the character who would become Mr. Freeze and the story upon which the Sanders' Freeze character is based. Unfortunately HIS helmet is not quite the dome I have found so I can't even use it for MY "Freeze" project. But it will come in handy for some other retro-space heroes I have in mind!

Man! That is perfect! How would it look for a 12" figure I wonder? Too small I bet...great dome though!
