I realize I just posted a link to an interview with me a few weeks ago, but I've just been honored with another. Thought I'd share: www.planoinsider.net/articles/2006/01/03/news/news4.txtThis one was a bit weird. The poor gal I spoke with did zero research into toys, collecting or anything related. Everything coming out of my mouth was a complete surprise to her. She hadn't even researched as far as my site, so she had no idea what customizing was. (Thus only a brief mention.) As my wife said, the article reads like a third grader's current events report. Still, it's nice to have press. And locals called my folks to tell them I was in the paper, which makes my folks happy. Oh, and if anyone see the latest issue of Lee's (#158), some of my work is featured in the back. ;D Disengage shameless promotion mode. C.

I do agree that it's a poorly written article but hey, press is press right? At least there were no 40y.o. Virgin references this time lol. Congrats on more exposure Cason,i keep telling you you're becoming famous but you won't believe me. ;D

Well, as Batlaw has already told me, I need to get off my keister and get some customs finished. Maybe then I'll feel like some of this attention is warranted.
Thanfully, 'm almost ready to paint some. Yea!
Thanks, FB!

I see what you mean, there doesn't seem to be any particular focus to this article except I guess the human interest angle of a guy that collects action figures. Still, it's neat that you keep poppping up in the news and now you can add "Plano Man" as another alias.

Hey Cas, you should be tootin, you deserve it man, and we all feel honored to have you here to share your trials & tribulations with us. I actually didnt mind the interviewer, would have been nice to get deeper into the "custom" aspects of your involvements but still very positive press non the less. Hey that rymed! ;D Congrats! Will

Thanks, Will! Yeah, when I mentioned I buy figures soley for parts, the interviewer gal made strange noises like I was keeping human parts in the fridge. She clearly didn't know what I was talking about.

Hey fellas, Just wanted to share the fact that my collection images now hang amongst very good company (like Les!) with the folks at Eternal Collector. There's also a nice interview wherein I answer buring questions like "What's my holy grail" and "What does my wife think of all this?" www.eternalcollector.com/casoncoll.htmEnjoy! C.

That was definately more informative and interesting. Did you supply written answers to supplied questions for that? It seems that way both from the questions and answers- you have thoughtfully considered replies. Do you make custom Transformers too? You mentioned the set you bought that you would never make yourself and I wondered if that means there are some that you do make.

Thanks Andy and Kevin! Yes, I was sent the questions in email, and could reply any way I wanted. Clearly, the target audience here was more specific than the last article.
Kevin, I've made a whole bunch of Transformer PVCs. They're all on my site. I once bought a set of Reflector PVCs (the Decepticon that is in fact 3 characters) from a fella I was exchanging recipes with. It was a good deal, and meant less work for me. ;D
