Thought you fellas may like to see this. I know it is more a Barbie collectible than a guy thing but anyhow here is a first glimpse. Imagine how we could have had a smiling Ken as 'Batman from BATMAN BEGINS'!!!!!!!!

Why, it's as though they shrunk him down! Sorry...it just shows how un-Superman-like this guy is to me... But did they ever nail that chest emblem! I guess all I can do is pray...Lord, let this be a good movie! Let this be a good movie...

Who designed this costume anyway? Martha Stewart? "Instead of that garish red, perhaps a nice "burnt cranberry" for the cape and boots.."

And the Lois to go with it. Or Princess Jasmine. Or Ariel. Or um...Jaqueline Smith. Or just a generic Bratz whore. You be the judge.

What in the name of heaven?!!!! What...WHO is in charge of the toys for this upcoming flick? Doesn't anybody ever realize that it's BOYS that primarily drive the superhero figure market? What's with the Barbie crap? Ken and Barbie Superman? What's next? I wanna see their Ken'ed up version of Lex Luthor. Or wait, General Zod! Yeah. "Let's sit down over coffee and work this out like proper Kryptonians Kal-el. And by the way, the way you've reversed your curl is to die for! And that cranberry from red, ooh. That smacks of style. And who needs a big chest emblem anyway? I think reserved is so much better." [glow=red,2,300]JEEZ![/glow] I'm beginning to think I wanna miss this one based on the toys alone.

To be fair to Mattel this is an extension of a line they have been doing for some time. It ain't really aimed at guys like us or young boys or even young girls. It is meant for Barbie enthusiasts. They did a gift set for STAR TREK, THE ADDAMS FAMILY and James bond too as well as a couple of other female super heroes so that is the niche they are looking at. Still it has given us all a smile. I am sure there will be 'proper' 12 Inch and smaller figures for serious collectors and guys like us too. Have no fear.
