Hey thanks, Will. And thanks for the tip about H-dividers. I'd love to see some pics of your shelves sometime.
I'll look for those dividers. I might add something like those, or maybe some hinges and plexiglass. But that's down the line. $$$$$ dont'cha know.

Cas, just look here in General under "Will's collection pics" and you can see what was simply a built in bookshelf which I converted to my display case.
on the edges of each shelf is plastic H-divider and there is Plexi slide in windows. Keeps the dust and curious hands off my stuff. ;D

D'oh! I've drooled over those photos several times now, and didn't even realize the plexiglass was there. (You decsribe it in text, of course, but it's so transparent in the photos. Which, of course, it should be.)
Now I know!

Thanks, Apeaholic. Any tips for finding it again? C. I wish I still had this playset, but all my childhood toys were sold off at a yard sale hosted by my Mom many moons ago. I do see these(MARX) sets on Ebay once in a while, sometimes with the original box, dinosaurs and all the little cave men too. If I see one I'll be sure to give you the heads up. I bet you would have some luck checking out yard sales. My Mom can't be the only one to unload her son's crap when she moves. The set I had came with fake plastic trees too. It was very LAND OF THE LOST. I loved it. Crap, now I want one too!

I think Scooter's right. I recall there being some very vague manufacturer info on the back that I was able to use as a clue in tracking down the origin, and I'm almost certain it wasn't Marx. I'll pull it off the shelf when I have some more time and see what it says.
As for garage sales, that's where this came from. But to find anything that's not utter crap around here you have to start at 6 a.m. on a Thursday or Friday morning, much less Saturday. No thank you! I've had a couple of toy-selling garage sales in recent years, and people start driving by before 6!

Nifty display Cas- very tidy- my shelves are always too crowded. I have no restraint. Can't help but think as I look at the Animated displays that the most of the coolest pieces are the ones you made.
