I'm still not crazy about this design, but I'm looking forward to adding to my 1/18th Batmobile shelf.

Yes. I would think every Walmart will have one. Side note: Still can't find that listing I saw that read that when this came out that about 14 batmobiles of various sizes were coming out with it. Including one particular 1/18 60's version. I know I read that, now I can't find anything on it. Could Mattel have gotten fickle? Or it may have only been a rumor posted as truth. Still looking. At least this one's the real deal.

Hmmm... Not sure what you saw. I suspect it was the amazing line of Corgi Batmobiles. (I don't know of any other large die-cast ones by Mattel other than the 1/18 '80 and '05 cars.) The Corgi line features stuff in 1/48, 1/24, 1/18 and even 1/16. Batmobiles and other Bat-vehicles from the 40s up to now, all comic based. I don't have any links or pics at the moment, but they are all well worth getting. Then again, maybe you already know this. Casimir

Not nearly as well as I should. ;D Thanks for that info. I'll be looking. It may have been Corgi stuff.
