Hey fellas.
I desperately need a copy of Indy's hat in 1/6 scale to fit on a cast of the Toys McCoy Indy head. A buddy of mine snagged a copy of the head, which I painted up. I have a crappy version of the hat that is waaayyy too wide for the head, and it looks horrid (it's a converted craft store cowboy hat). A proper fedora is the last item I need to finally have a 12" version of my fav celluloid hero.
Pay or tradecan be negotiated...or if you could direct me to a website that has such an item for an affordable price.
Thanks guys.

When I saw, "Glorbes needs help!" I qickly rushed to this thread in hopes that I could be the one to offer some assistance. I mean how great would it be to have a " Special thanks to wild Willy for making this custom complete" right in one of Glorbes custom descriptions? I guess i can't help ya dude, i don't have a hat to offer and I have no resources either. Les may be the man to help. Les! oh! [glow=red,2,300]LES!!![/glow] Will

Thanks Willy.
I've seen some on eBay, but I really hate dealing with that monster. Again, any help would be appreciated, fellas. I'll post an image of the custom thus far to give a better idea of scale.

I got a nice resin one from Lonnie Hale, Jim Mattox's caster. Although, I think you have to get the head to go with it. I think Alex Rojas makes and sells vinyl ones.
I don't know as much as Will is leading I think. I only have my own 12" figure, which uses a non removable hat from the old vinyl Indy Horizon model kit. If I had a way to recast it in a nice material, that would be great.
Being you are such a master of all things leather, why not make the brim and mount it to a hat topper that you sculpt? Does it absolutely have to be removable? This is a recast of the Toy McCoy head, right? If it need not be removable, make a brim, set it on the top of the cut off head top (which can be curved to allow for the brim shape), then add the top of the hat with some other medium.
Hell, you ever gonna display Indy with his hat off? Who ever does? Mine's permanent! Go for it! That's my take.
Recast that head for yourself for a hat off version to try again if need be.

Yeah...I may end up doing something like you suggest, Les. I'm concerned about fudging it up at this scale though...I'll have to plan it very carefully.
Thanks for the idea, man.
