Hi, I’m new here I found it through Scot’s links page. I’m working with Scooters again after...how many years was it Scot? Well, I’m glad to be back doing figures again I’m starting from scratch doing some 6” figures and 12” figures. Here a few things I’m working on in the 12” action figure department. George Reeves Superman, I’m adapting the head from a resin kit I sculpted for a Dragon body: Alex Ross Superman, this is the raw sculpt: This is an Adam West head I sculpted for Scot, I painted one today for the heck of it: Jack O’Neill from Stargate: Teal’c from Stargate:

Thanks!
I use Castilene clay for all my sculpts now. I heard that was the McFarland people used so I tried it and I love it.
You can melt it down and pour it into molds and refrigerate it to harden it up for detail work.

Wow! Very impressive stuff. I'm so jealous of you folks that can sculpt from scratch consistently.

Hi Steven, Glad you found your way to our group. I can tell right away that you are gonna be a great asset to the continuing quality of custom work which pours from these boards. ;D I really love you George reeves. He is a difficult one to aquire a good likeness, i say that because i havent seen any that really resemble him but yours SCREAMS Reeves!, Excellent rendition. I knew exactly who he was when I saw him. I don't know Jack O’Neill but with some minor tweaking you would have a super Harrison Ford. Your Adam West is great! I can't wait to see one completed as a Bruce wayne and Batman figure, will be awesome I'm sure. The point that Les gave you is a fun little Karma system which is in each of our profiles. When you exault or give someone a Karma point, it's kinda like giving them a Thumbs up With that said, i'll pop ya one too because you'r sculpting is fenominal to say the least. Welcome aboard. Will

Those are all incredible to say the least- but the George Reeves also really caught my eye right away. Best Reeves I've seen- like Will said most of the time they are not that close.

Wow. Great likenesses. Castilene seems to be the weapon of choice among the best in the biz. There's a Fwoosh guy that goes by the name of jareonstudios that does incredible work in the stuff...but these head sculpts of yours are really fantastic. Thoroughly impressed I am. ;D

Let me say that I've known Steven for YEARS now and we worked together back in the day and are working together again! His portraitures are some of the best I've ever seen. If you'd like to see some of his older work - you can see it at my website in the Figural Models gallery. Though keep in mind that Steven will be ticked that I mentioned the older stuff. He feels it was not very refined and that he has come a long way since then. I say we all get better (hopefully) with practice and time and it's still great viable stuff that shows his talent off. www.scooterscustomworks.com/GALLERIES/MODELS_FIGURES_02.htm-S

All great work, what I wopulnt give to have a full set of those 66 bat models. I have seen and admired some of these for years. The Batman model has always reminded me of Clint young in his Batman costume. Lovin your work Steven. Will
