Having some bad luck on my Returns Figure

Dear Bros,

The below is my recent message posted on some other boards:

I am having some very very bad experience with the vinyl factory that makes the vinyl parts for my Returns Figure.

They suddenly call me to go to their factory and told me that something serious happened. When I went there, they told me that they are not going to finish the productions of the vinyl parts for me and ask me to bring my moldings back. The only reason is that there are too many bad pulls on the Returns Cowl and they are losing money by doing my order.

Here is the pic of the bad pulls they show me, all bad pulls happens on the left ear:



But this is RIDICULOUS, I have work very close with them to make sure everything is OK and I have even ask them to pull a few test shots before the production and everything is DEFINATELY
fine!!

Now they are saying it is my moldings that cause the bad pull problems, So I ask them "Why is that there isn't any problem when they pull the test shots? What are the test shots for? Isn't the test shots is a proof to make sure everything is OK before the productions?" And they GIVE ME NO ANSWER TO THAT AND KEEP ON SAYING THEY ARE NOT GOING TO FINISH THE PULLS AND ASK ME TO BRING BACK MY MOLDINGS.

They have only give me 48 sets of my Returns Figure parts, so I ask them to refund the rest of my money since I have already prepaid all the 120 sets of my Returns Figures parts payments to them. Then they give me a even more RIDICULOUS answer, they said they are not giving me any refund cause the remaining payment is for their lose for doing my order.

WHAT THE F@#K!!!!!!!!!!!

Even worse is after I get back my moldings and I found out that the Returns Body Armour molding is DAMAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never feel so bad and angry before, after all the time and effort I have put into my Returns Figure and I am getting this bad experience, I am losing a lot of $$$ in this project and I am so depress right now.........

Message to customers on my Returns list:

I will be able to sending out pics of the finished Returns Figure pics within 2 weeks which is the instructions for this Returns Figure.

Now I will only have 48 Returns Figures on hand but I need to keep 8 of them for myself to sell on ebay to cover my lose cause by the vinyl factory and for remaking the Returns Body Armour copper molding. I will have the first batch of 40 figures shipping out to customers on the list after I have finished painting the mini Emblems and have them packed and ready. As for customers on the list who are not able to get their Returns Figure on the first batch, I cannot promise you when I can have the second batch ready to ship, the waiting period will be months, BUT I GUARANTEE YOU ALL will be getting your Returns Figure from me no matter how much money I am going to pay to remake the Body Armour molding and how high the price I need to pay for another vinyl factory to complete the rest of the pulls.

Any customers who thinks the waiting period is too long and doesn't want your Returns Figure anymore, feel free to let me know and I will remove you from the list, I will have no hard feelings on that.

AND FOR THE RECORD: THIS RETURNS FIGURE WILL BE MY LAST BATMAN FIGURE PROJECT CAUSE I HAVE HAD ENOUGH WITH THAT F@#KING VINYL FACTORY AND I AM NOT GOING MAKE ANY MORE BATMAN FIGURES IN THE FUTURE!!

I am cooling down now Bros. Tomorrow I will order a molding factory to remake the Body Armour molding and I will try my best to finding another vinyl factory to finish the rest of the pulls as soon as I can and have my Returns figures shipping out to Bros on this board.

I need to ship out my first batch of the 40 Returns figures to my customers who have preorder it since I started this project so I have to move you guys to the second batch, I am very very sorry about this and I sincerely apologize for the delay and thank you very much for your patience and your kind understanding Bros!!

All the three of you, I will include an extra Keaton's head (unpainted) as my little gift to you when you receive your Returns Figure, so that you can use the painted head for the Returns Figure and use the extra one to make a custom Keaton Bruce Wayne of your own. Hope you guys will be happy with that.

Anyway - I don't have any copper mold or vinyl factory resources, but if you need any help repairing or fixing some of the parts that didn't come out right - I'd be happy to help. The rest of the pieces look so nice - it seems like the small areas can be fixed with some solid black resin or patch material.

Henry, this stuff is somewhat over my head, but I can certainly feel your frustration. I'm just sick of living in a society where the first inclination of most people is to do whatever it takes to avoid accepting responsibilty. It's always someone else's fault. (Usually the customer.) I see this every day, some more than others, and it just sickens me.

First off I’d like to say outstanding work! I saw the figure some time before, maybe it was the ’89.


Was it understood that money paid would be non-refundable? I would think you could take it up with Better Business Bureau or get a lawyer involved. But it would be delicate if you don’t have a license for the “Bat” image. You could always say it was a personal art project...you know like Warhol painting Campbell soup cans and charging thousands for them.

Thank you very much for your concern everyone!! That frustration post was posted on some other boards two days ago, I admit that I was very very angry and depress during the time when I type that post. I am cool now!! Just thought I need to let Bros knows what is happening to my Returns Figure and that the waiting time may be a little long before I can ship out your order. I apologize again for the delay and I promise I will try my best to solve things out and get everything back on track!!

Thanks for offering me help, you are a true Bro!!

Unfortunately I don't think the bad pulls mini Cowls can be repaired cause the vinyl material I choose to make the mini Cowls is a kind of soft, something like latex. So if the Cowls is repaired with solid material, the place that is repaired will break off from the Cowl easily.

Thanks for your concern Bro!! Those factory peolpe can be very nice guys if everything is going smooth, they get their $$$ and I get my order, I don't have any problems with them when I order them to make the vinyl parts for my '89 Figure. But if anything goes wrong and they know they are going to loose $$$ even because of their fault, these guys faces will change and will treat you like sh*t, especially for individual customers like me. Sure if you are contacting them in the name of a toy company with a bunch of large quantities orders, these guys will treat you like a God and will straighten things up in their expenses even if there are problems arising, that's the difference. I feel sick about these kind of things too!!

Thanks for your nice words regarding my '89 Figure Bro!!

That f@#king factory should have my money refunded since they have only completed 1/3 of my order, they have no reasons at all to keep my hard earned money because of their own fault!! I want to sue those f@#kers but that factory is located in China and I am not familiar with the laws in China, also the laws in China is not so civilized, it would be hard to take legal action against them. Besides, since I have work with them before on my '89 Figure and thought they can be trusted, so I haven't signed any contract with them when I place my order, so there is really nothing I can do!!

Henry - I understand what you are saying. But you can't just dump the cowls! If it's really just that top area of the horn - I can think of a few different ways to try to bond it with flexibility. I'd at least try for you.

I already have 3 ebay customers who are interested in my Returns Figure and they are offering me a very good deal for one, if I get lucky in my ebay auction for the other 5, I think I will be able to cover all the loses caused by the vinyl factory.

I don't know why but nearly all the bad pull cowls happens on the left horn.
Anyway I still need to find a factory to finish the rest of the pulls for the remaining 80 figures, if problems still cannot be solved, I will count on you and see if you can help me to repair them. Thanks in advace Bro!!

I thought of something...about the ear tips...
I am capable of fixing up tips like that on toys and resin models etc. If I can fix any for you and paint them to match etc. Let me know so you won't lose anything on those particular figures. If that's the only flaws on them, send me some cowls and let me work on them for you.
I extended the ears on my Kenner Batman Returns figure (the big bloated looking one) and his ears were vinyl I think.

Anyway, just letting you know I may can help too.
