These are just a few parts I have collected for the 1:25 scale Batcave project I had mentioned before. We had a nice chat about it the other night and I thought I'd show it here. This is not the layout at all, just a few parts thrown together for the pic. As I discussed before -the copter is much too small and I have to do a scatchbuilt 1:25 scale one as well as the batcycle and a hundred other things. Right now I am in COLLECTING PARTS mode. I have also decided HOW I am going to mold the cave walls etc. If anyone has any resources for 1:25 (that's small model car size) lab equipment or diorama equipment let me know. I am already getting some fujimi garage parts for the garage section. -S

By the way - in searching for batcopter stuff, I found a site where you send in photos of your RC Copters after you customize them. This guy did a very nice Batcopter conversion RC copter. www.rotorgraphics.com/picz.html

That looks so cool even now. When it is done it will be a real killer. That copter looks nice as well. How extensive are you planning on making this diorama. You could really go to town couldn't you.

If the dinosaur is there, the giant penny and the giant Joker card can't be far behind. I picked up a nice giant metal penny paperweight in St. Augustine, FL a few years back. It'd probably be the right size for it but I don't know where to get anymore.
Looks cool so far!

Yep all those things and more Ant.
I have found many giant penny paperweights in my searching but all of them are way too small for this diorama. Usually like 4 - 5" diameter at the most.
The penny was like 3 or 4 times Batman's height in the comics so for this scale it needs to be 9 - 11" diameter. I just won a Lincoln relief bust on ebay that is about the right size - and I am going to make my own giant penny!

Pretty extensive Marty. The works. Multiple rooms, cars, accessories. Some lighting. Possibly even running (or at least moving) water.

You just know this is going to end up something truly remarkable. It's an ambitious project to go to the extent of detail you plan Scot but if anyone can do it then i reckon you're the man. Can't remember their names but i think it was McFarlane or maybe Moore a few years back did a series of figures with lab equipment etc, kind of like Mad Scientist themes or something like that.Anyone remember these? They could prove very useful to Scot.

Off to a great start- the dinosaur you selected cetrtainly does ring true of the "robot Bat Cave trophy". A lot of work ahead for you- I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say this will be a fantastic project to see come together.

Pretty exciting project Scot. One time while making a cave-like diaoramma for some led monster mini figs, I experimented with spraypainting enamel paint onto Styrofoam and not only does this color the styrofoam, it eats away at it leaving a cave roof like appearance.
