I'm a slave to the paint right now. These are just the Bwayne conversion parts on an older non-revell issue batman kit base. Not as nice as the Tony Agustin one for sure, and this isn't my favorite West replacement head for this model - but I am looking around in all my parts boxes and trying to make and build anything I can out of what's laying around for the big holiday push! Plus my Ward Robin needed a Batman to go with.

Jeez, Scot, you are a machine! Both in terms of you non-stop output and the amazingly smooth paint apps. Stop making the rest of us look lazy! ;D Great job on the model, too. C.

That one was all out of cans, my friend. My usual patented (not really) Scooter's Adam West method:
Plastikote Auto Primer Grey for the leotard. Plastikote medium yellow for belt parts.
And the blue recipe (from tim Meyer) Testor's ModelMaster Arctic Blue Metallic out of a can - wait 24 hours for curing, then dullcote the blue - turns satin look.
Oh, plus some handpaintng of the face and eyes...

Scot, I think that looks absolutely fantastic! to say the least. The blue you used along with the shading almost look like actual satin. The belt! where do i begin? whats that buckle made from? bang on looking. This looks really beutiful and must look stunning along side of that marvelous Robin which you done. Please post a pic of them together for me and the guys here, that would be ultra cool to see. There is but one small thing you could have done imo to improve the look of that head and that would have been to make the eye holes smaller. Aside from the large eyes, the rest of it is a very good resemblance to Mr. West. Is that a Diceman head? This set is really something Scot, will you offer them on ebay as a set or in seperate auctions? You would probably do better $$$ seperating the 2. They are great, wish I had em. Will

Yeah Will, you're right about the eyeholes. That's the way the head came I did no mods to this one. Just trying to use up parts on hand. If I was keeping it I'd have used another head anyway. That is not the Dice head, it's the Bwayne/Cult of Personality head. They were sold by Tom Parker who also makes the Ward head so it's like a set. It's not my favorite in that size but I had it sitting around so...
I have brass photoetched buckles in that scale but I didn't want to waste one on this build so I used a resin buckle I had that came with the head, painted gold.
Thanks on the comment about the satin look too. Tim showed me this years ago and I still use it to create that look in a painted format. I did no shading, that's just what happens to that particular paint after you hit it with a dullcote.
If I had bothered to sculpt in wrinkles like Augustin did - it obviously would have looked better but I was treating this as a minimal effort project so it is what it is. -s
