Just a sneak peak at a commission project. This wasn't my doll - it was an Aris Zaroya doll that I was asked to "fix". I just modified it and did the box etc. I may show it finished before it gets shipped. -S

I like that the bike has the lace as seen in the Batgirl pilot! Nice catch. Actually the bike was slapped together quickly just to make use of the box and get this doll out of my life. I know I've said it before but here I go again. I inherited in a trade - a set of three Aris Zaroya dolls. Aris Zaroya made some of the nicest costumes I've ever seen for TV Bat dolls. However -God knows why - he mounted them on Ken dolls. (in this case a Barbie) Not even 'super posable ken' at all. And, sadly - the clothes were sort of glued down and not transferable to other dolls. So while I liked the sewing - I just couldn't take the horrible, smiling, un-posable, strangely proportioned dolls. So I made a box for the Batman and Robin I had. I put in accessories and made it presentable and sold it a year ago on ebay: Now - fast forward to last week. I've always wanted to do the same thing for the Batgirl, but never had a worthy box. Then - I got a call from someone who really LIKES the Barbie-ness of Aris' work and wants the Batgirl, but could I do a box? So I got inspired by this My Scene Vespa set and sort of slapped together a box for this guy and his doll. The box matches the adam/burt set kinda. NOW - on the bike - it is an amalgam of the early episode Batcycle and the later one. (the later one had the lace and the seat fringe and the vanity windscreen - the early one had the yellow batmotif on the windscreen) all mish-mashed onto a modern era Vespa scooter. It's FUN and the buyer LOVES it, but it's not as accurate as I like. I put a different belt on the doll (that's a Diver 4 rubber belt actually) and made some other tweaks here and there - b ut I don't know how much of the doll I'll show here as it is a crazy Barbie nightmare. Ah heck - I'll show it anyway, later when I put the head back on. -S

I love the look of the box as well as the bike, That is gonna be one HOT custom once completed.
The B&R boxed set looks familiar , I probably had it on my watchlist back when you had it on the Bay, awesome work Scotty-boy, can't wait to see the head on batgirl, will the cowl be molded onto the head? also will it have real hair or sculpted hair? Thanks for the sneak peek.
