Thought you guys might like to see one of two Commission pieces i am doing for a Client[even he hasn't seen this one yet ;D]. This one is in theory what would happen if you combined Hulk,Venom and Nightcrawler.I call him the Abomination,he was an interesting piece to do and i'm pretty happy with the result. Not overly familiar with Marvel characters either but it wasn't too hard to find some reference pics to pick the combination of elements from the different characters. Anyways, see what you think: You think this one is unique, wait till you see the other one.

Andy, you never cease to amaze! That looks like it was bought that way. Absolute flawless transitions between the variouse body parts & the spine bones look totally wicked!. I'm certain that your customer is gonna display that 1 of a kind guy with pride. If I were you, I would include signed CODs with your pieces just to have a sigature to accompany them, They really are superb! Be sure and let us know what your customer says. Can't wait to see more. I have to agree- flawless! You are brilliant with paint! How does the tail connect at the back- ripping through the pants? Just curious! At the risk of insulting you, there is a Hulk villain named The Abomination that looks a bit different. I only mention it because you said you're not too up on your Marvel characters.

Thanks so much guys,i must admit he turned out better than i hoped.I was a bit flummoxed at first how to combine 3 very different characters. Now to try and answer the questions.I called him Abomination cause that's what he was to me,but i'd be open to suggestions to a name for him.I'll need one for the COD's which i do actually do btw thanks for the suggestion Will. The Tail was a separate piece which i drilled and pinned to his Backside. Then i just cut some clear Vinyl to shape and applied and blended with Putty to get the torn clothing effect. BTW guys, sorry about the poor photos,i just snapped them off quickly.I'll take better ones for when he goes onto my Website.

Oooo.... Very nice, FB! I'm familiar with some of those parts, and the transition from one to another is excellent. Looks like he was made that way! I'm sure your client will be pleased.

Be sure and let us know what your customer says. Well,he emailed me a couple of days ago and said it's"nice"but he wants the Fingers closer together and the Face narrower. That kind of disappointed me as he only gave me a basic outline and left the rest to me.Oh well,it'll cost him more to alter it.I'm sending him a photo of the primed other piece he commisioned before i start painting in case he wants alterations there too.

That's a bit of a shame that he wants it altered now. I for one think it looks amazing! and being an original custom there is no certain criteria inwhich to follow to make is resemble any character in particular. We would love to see a step by step on how you alter it. I know i sound like a broken record here but it really facinates me how you & Cas make these customs look so great! Will

What a tough break! I'd be furious with that guy. "Nice" ! BAH! It will be interesting to see what you come up with to satisfy him. I hope he doesn't keep nit-picking at it. Since you have to be polite about it with him, the least you can do is let us "vent" for you. Smart move getting an approval first on the next one! Keep up the great work!

Thanks for your support guys,i knew you'd understand.I guess when you put yourself in a position where you have to deal with people you have to be prepared to put up with annoying behaviour. On the other hand i have another client who has commissioned not much more than a repaint and he is excited as hell. He's telling anyone who'll listen he's getting an FB original. That makes you feel good.

Well as i said earlier in this thread the other piece commissioned by this guy was even stranger. This one is what would happen if Hulk was incorporated into the Anime world of Dragonball Z[ugh!]. This is the prepped piece photo i'm sending to the client for approval before i paint him.The Fur Coat and the Hair was a nightmare to sculpt but overall he looks ok i guess.
