Oh man, what a room! These pictures make me all ga-ga. Some of the pieces that really catch my eye are the tin "West" batman robot, I paid $75 for the Keaton version about 10 years ago so I can only guess what this one would fetch. The batman playset is probably on every collectors "Dream wish list" I see the boxed RC Mego Bats which is very cool along with the other megos. I love the Bobble heads. One aspect of your collection which I mostly dig is the great amount of TV related stuff. That to me is why I started collecting but I guess I stray from that path somewhat when I stumble onto cool looking non tv related stuff, and if the tv stuff I really desire gets too outta my price range. The glass display cabinets with the long glass doors look sorta like store fixtures for pop & milk & stuff, is that what they are? I have been trying to decide how & where toset my stuff up and these pics really inspire some ideas, What a set up, Scot I love it. Can I send my Wife over to do my christmas shopping there please? seriously bro, a kick ass collection & thanks for sharing it here with us. Will Thanks Will. The 'line in the sand' I keep talking about refers to my collection too. Anything still boxed come January 01, iwill be sold. If it can't fit on these shelves - then I don't need it! The big all-glass display case is a vintage jewelry case from an old department store. You can get them affordably in any town. Look in your B to B phone book for "store fixtures/Used" and go take a tour of their warehouse. I paid about $300 for it and redid the lighting with $30 worth of fixtures from home depot. The tall display cases with doors are from Ikea. I sprayed them all with "hammered aluminum" finish to make them more custom but they started as silver finish too. Will, I always loved the Batman robots too, but they are way out of my price range. The Nokumura goes for about $2000 usually with box. So I decided to customize my own. This tall one I made from the old squirt gun head from the 70's and a recent robot body and a belt from one of the the FAO Schwarz dolls. The box is a modfied version of an original. If you look on the middle shelf of my work desk area shot - you will see the other one I have not finished yet which is more West-like in colors and uses the Soaky plastic head. The Ideal Playset is of course, my repro too. I made the repro sets that came out in 1995. They were featured in a couple magazines and have shown up on ebay from time to time. I made 44 of them. Silkscreened boxes, color cast figures, etc. I have one of the prototypes going up on ebay in a couple weeks. In the Spring, I will finish my JLA box version with the bigger blue display box and it will be much nicer than this one. My what 10 years of imaging technology can do for a custom box!

Ok so the playset box is repro, very nicely done, what about the figures, pieces & BatCar, are they exact replicas? I can't believe you made that little robot It's awesome! if it becomes available please PM me with price. Thanks for the display tips too, I'll check out Ikea and see what they have here. Lovin yer stuff. Will

Thanks on the robot. The smaller unfinished one on the workdesk shelf is about 9" tall. The one with the box is actually about 16" tall. I made 44 of those playset repros in 1995 Will. Everything is repro. Villains, robot, solar ray pieces were recast in colored plastic. Batmobile/Batplane were recast in black. Hero figures were cast in white then handpainted.

Scot, your repros look surprisingly authentic, at least to these untrained eyes.

I use a similar setup for many of my figure shelves. I place 2 3-shelf kitchen spice racks side by side (or get the expandable single kind) And I hot glue down all the figures. Hot glue can be peeled off completely cleanly later if need be and doesn't hurt the figure at all. Here's the SP Shelf. It is missing a lot of my custom SP figures but there are seven in there. And my 9" shelf: The custom Flash and other 9" customs can be seen bigger and explained better on my site: www.scooterscustomworks.com/GALLERIES/9INFIGURES.htmPlus here are the standard DCD and BTAS stuff just to see the spice racks in action some more.

Not only COULD I spend hours looking at your stuff- I think I already HAVE! It just keeps getting better and better. Great mixture of old and new, with an exciting dash of top-class customs (which are in many ways more impressive than the actual toys).

You do have everything... Simpliy Fantastic Loot you got Scooter! My Favorite is your Super powers, I loved that line. I would love to see a close up of NightWing & Demon Please, they look great! I was surprised not to see Cyborg or Shazam in there. So, how long does it take you to dust your collection? Seems like a While.. Nice score on the DCD figures, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Beetle & Guy Gardner, them are real hard to get these days. You may have sold your Mego stash, But you forgot 2,.. I see a Batman & Robin in there. If you forgot about those, you can always send them to me. ;D

Megos: Yeah I still have those boxed RC Batman and RM Robin there. Plus that boxed Aquaman up in the Aquaman shelf. Plus on the batcycle I have an old set of the silk-screened home pattern costumes that I think are fun and cool. I'll always keep the Mego Batman and Robin just because they meant so much to me as a kid.

WOW! That makes me sick with envy and jealousy! That's just not fair to do that...it's just not right! Seriously...that is a stunning and awesome collection that anybody would probably give their right arm to only own a small portion of what you have beautifully displayed. Congrats!
