Hi folks!
Casimir here. Longtime Bat-customizer. I'm in Plano, Tx. Thanks to Faihfulbutler for getting me over here. I look forward to seeing what this place can do! You can see my own work by clicking on the banner below.
I'd explore and comment more, but I've been playing with Kneadatite and sanding until my fingers are sore, so it's time for bed. I'll be back to read more threads soon.
Best,
Casimir

Hey Casimir- I saw your stuff in the Tomart issue and was really blown away- it's a pleasure to be able to tell you so personally. Your site is terrific right down to the overall design which you've obviously labored over. I poked around through the CustomCon site- really neat stuff! There sure are a lot of talented folks out there and it's pretty cool that they have a way to get their work seen. I'd really love personally to hear about your work with Sesame Street since you brought it up. I guess the Muppets have really got a place in my heart that started with that show and it would be neat to hear some of your experiences as an insider. Glad to have you here.

Thanks for the kind welcome, folks. I only hope I can make a positive contribution.
AbuRabuSimbuTu, as for Sesame Street... I was fortunate enough to be an intern on the 26th season during my college days. (OHMYGOD has it been more than 10 years?!) I was the "assistant Muppet wrangler." That meant I woke the puppets up in the morning, got them dressed in the costumes for the days, rigged their hands appropriately, and took care of them down on set. My job was to keep the fuzzy guys ready for the puppeteers. I also got to hang out in the work shop and built a few props. (And learned a thing or two about making puppets.) I wish I could have stayed, but I'm one to visit New York, not live there. This Texas boy needs his big sky!
(Funniest anecdote: Olympic skier Peekabo Street was on-set and she literally punched Elmo's eye out!)
That being said, I am very excited about the upcoming Sesame Street line from Palisades. Whoo-hoo!
Best,
Casimir

Hello all,
Somehow I missed this thread when I signed up.
My name is Andy. I live in Massachusetts(a real collector dead zone). I'm 35 and have been quietly collecting all kinds of toys for over a decade now. My favorite Batman toys are the Corgi Batmobiles and my pair of Mego Batman and Robin Fistfighters that a friend gave to me.
I have only done one custom figure and it's an Adam West style Batman. It's not very good but I love it all the same.
